This week on “See It or Skip It,” Rotten Tomatometer-approved film critic Patrick Beatty is back with a new list of weekend watches. Joined by Rebecca Frost and Kent Dunn, they dive headfirst into “Send Help”, crawl through the claustrophobic chaos of “Iron Lung”, sink their teeth into “Dracula”, and unpack the wonderful “Wonder Man”. Plus, they rewind the tape on Sundance 2026.

Dracula (R)

Where to Watch: Theaters
Directed By:
Luc Besson
Starring:
Caleb Landry Jones, Christoph Waltz, Zoë Bleu
Genre:
Period Drama, Horror

‘Dracula’ may fill in more of the early details of the Count, but it can’t help but divert back to Coppola’s iteration of the character. If you love vampire films, this will still be a good watch. I just wish there were more uniqueness to an otherwise bland revision of what we already know.

Iron Lung (R)

Where to Watch: Theaters
Directed By:
Mark Fischbach
Starring:
Mark Fischbach, Caroline Kaplan, Troy Baker
Genre:
Body Horror
All media courtesy of Markiplier Studios
Mark Fischbach delivers a claustrophobic suspense thriller that, in the end, delves into complete body horror in the best way. The middle is a bit meandering, but for a first-time filmmaker who also wrote, starred in, and edited, this is an admirable first entry in what could be a bright career.

‘Wonder Man’ is wonderful not because of his superpowers, but in the friends he met along the way. Yahya and Ben Kingsley are Marvel Studios’ new dynamic duo, and you will have fun watching them navigate the trials of Hollywood together.
