A hodgepodge of references and styles from Tarantino, John Wick, and more. This batshit crazy story takes you through levels of bloody violence that are too shocking to miss. Zazie Beetz and Patricia Arquette shine. If you are squeamish, this one isn’t for you, but fans of the wild turns the story takes are going to be delighted with this film.

Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice (R)

Where to Watch: Hulu, Disney +

Directed By:

BenDavid Grabinski

Starring:

Vince Vaughn, James Marsden, Eiza González

Genre:

Dark Comedy, Crime, Romance

Vince Vaughn plays both future and present-day Nick, trying to stop himself from making a series of mistakes leading to the death of his friend Mike (James Marsden). As they navigate through crime syndicates, brutal violence, and time travel, the two realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

I had a fun time watching this one. Vince Vaughn continues to take out-of-the-box roles that both feel tailor-made for him, but like nothing he’s done before. James Marsden and Eiza González are both good in their roles. This is a film that, when watching on streaming, can be a little long as the story meanders towards the middle. But overall, a fun watch that I wonder could’ve performed well in a big theater.

Need a break this weekend with some good Stand-Up? Look no further than the roastmaster himself, Jeff Ross. This special covers his life in a deeper way than he’s let audiences experience before. Still full of great crowd-work and roasts, but it’s that deeper connection that makes this one of his best shows he’s done.

Enter the Manosphere culture of promoting masculinity, often characterized by strong opposition to feminism and misogynistic viewpoints, with Louis Theroux.
